@walkingonglittersunshine: @Disney @Disney Parks Disney ended a 25 year holiday tradition for a new bar and a renovated lobby. With renovations underway the iconic traditional display that drew over 100,000 visitors and was the crown jewel of Disney's Christmas magic will be absent this year. Families would line up every year to see, smell and taste the gingerbread treats, capture photos with their loved ones while enjoying the festivities of the season. Memories were created, smiles shared and it was one of the most treasured things to do while celebrating the holidays at Walt Disney World. Though I know the lobby will look beautiful once it's finished, I don't believe another bar was necessary with Enchanted Rose upstairs. It has the potential to offer a different experience to the hotel and its guests, however I think Disney could have waited till 2026 to start the renovations as to not disrupt the tradition that so many of US have come to love. Do you think Disney made the right call? My opinion, there’s a lot of new replacements of older management. A younger group that is making all these changes. Why does there need to be a bar in the lobby of the beautiful classy grand Floridian. I’m sure it will be pretty but not a fan of this, replacing the traditional gingerbread house

It is my understanding that this is only temporary you can fit the gingerbread house in there and second you can always go over to the boardwalk and see their gingerbread display. So perhaps this is slight misinformation.
