Grounding is the practice of connecting our body to the electrical field of the Earth. The benefits can include lower stress, better healing, improved recovery, better sleep and more. I do something similar. Instead of wrapping it around your foot, wrap the copper wire once around the mattress at a part of the mattress where your calves are in contact with the mattress. The wire last longer and you can freely get in and out of bed without getting tangled!

check if the wire is enameled, because if it is then it is doing absolutely nothing, check with a multimeter

If you live in a place with winter, it’s incredibly hard to get a ground in the ground itself , but my question is isn’t your drain system grounded I mean, that’s if you don’t want to use the plug ground… or when you’re showering, aren’t you grounding? 🤔

Much simpler method .. connect a cable in to a plug top and only use the earth wire.. most beds have a socket by the bed.. the earth terminal is connected to earth anyway so you’re grounded that way and probably with less a resistant path

you can buy a grounding mat in AliExpress or eBay and connect the wire to the mat and put it on your bed, you don't need to tie the wire to your foot
