Net worth includes your home. What good is that? You can’t spend it

Age 63, top 2% net worth, debt free, investments making $1.3K per day, rolling vast majority back into income producing assets, and only drawing 2.6% from 2 of my 4 retirement investment accounts, allowing the other 2 accounts to grow untouched. Will be waiting until FRA to pull social security. Been investing 30% since my early 20’s, now reaping the rewards. Life is good.

The average is skewed because of the uber wealthy. This just shows how much wealth is held by the top few percent

You need to average by state. That 1.7million number is real low in CA, WA, etc

Interesting numbers. Is this per adult or per household? A typical 2 person household would double these numbers and we would not have much of a retirement problem in the country. Right?

the numbers are all over the place, seemingly...take a look by % of wealthy in US top 2%, top 5% of wealthy and those numbers are all over the place

take out the net worth of the top one percent and you will have a more accurate number for the average household. yes, I took statistics in college too. 😂😂😂
