Plumber here 🙋♂️doing this can cause a leak if you don’t put it back together correctly. This is how you mount the kitchen sink strainer to the sink…this is not a clean out. Make sure you put some sort of sealant down when you put it back together.

the edge of the sink is very sharp please be carefull you might cut yourself and get an infection use a brush please

You can actually do the exact same thing with your toilet if you wanted to clean under its drain gasket. If you think that’s a dumb idea, its because it actually is a dumb idea. So is cleaning under your sink drain gasket.
