Thirteen years ago, soon after my husband died, I had one friend who asked me to tell a story about a favorite memory of him. Then she held my hand while I cried.

I think you explained something I didn't realize. I always isolate when grieving. 3 years ago, the passing of my dog brought a lot of concern by good few people who cares about me. It was very unusual for me. I knew their best intentions but they made me feel I had to make them feeling better instead of processing my grief. I had to prioritize them the first 2 months while I was psychologically numbed. I was a child abused by my mother and always be alone looking for myself. Many traumas and grief I dealt alone. And you made sense. I isolate because I had no who can just be present by my side. I never had that to any of my tragedies.

All this resonates with me especially the strong one I don't care how strong I am strength doesn't come into it when I'm grieving the loss of my son 💔

My elderly neighbour said I’m sorry for your loss then put her arms around me while I fell into her arms . She then said take your time and grieve your way . I’m here when ever or for whatever you need. I think she has had a lot of loss and new just what to say x
