38 and literally have more friends than I've ever had in decades thanks to mountain biking. Likewise I invited some of the friends I raided with in MMOs to my wedding. As an adult making friends can be hard. Get it how you can or suffer alone. Your choice.

Anecdotal but I am lucky to have friends that like to just hang out and I am 35, however it’s fairly telling that all those friends are *drumroll* friends I met in college

Video games can be a great tool if there is balance, it unfortunately ruined my bipolar ex boyfriend’s life since he did not have said balance. Well it was either the video games or the insomnia, anxiety, and inability to hold a job.
