(This is just my opinion) I don’t love hay in the litter box because if they stomp the hay (which will end up happening) then when they use the bathroom it will be on the hay and then the hay is dirty. Guinea pigs also like to hide in the hay and then they might be hiding in their own poop. This might work with certain clean guinea pigs but over not a big fan.

First person I see using a stainless steel litter box FINALLY! I have cats and it’s commonly preferred to use a stainless steel litter box because its more sanitary and easy to clean and it helps with smell and ive been considering a stainless steel for my guinea pigs using this same logic, never saw anyone do this, up until now ahhh 💕

omg I never thought about this and I use stainless steel pans for my cats 😂 Ive been using cloroplast trays for my pigs but no matter how much I clean it the white stains won't budge but ima def use a steel pan!
