Took my oldest turkey hunting years ago and didn’t waste the time to bring shells. Just two unloaded shot guns and 2 hours later were back in the truck headed for ice cream. One of my favorite hunts to this date absolutely had a blast.

My dad took me when I was 19. He said no makeup, perfume, deodorant, etc. because the deer would smell me. He ate Starburst and peppermints the entire time. But it was my fault we didn’t see nothing

I took my son hunting for about 30 minutes. he's non verbal so I thought his lil animal noises wouldn't be too big of an issue. we find a spot, get situated, he hasnt made a single noise. about 5 minutes in he starts going "yeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeah!.." twenty. three. minutes. straight. 😂

My husband & I have taken our now 4 yo deer hunting since he was 2. He did GREAT the first time…until he saw a squirrel & proceeded to yell “get away squirrel!!” 😂🤣🫣

Took my son who’s 4 last Sunday and by god are these all true lol. Enjoyed spending the time with him! Glad to have him out. He’s been telling his mother he don’t wanna go to school he wants to go hunting lol

You are better off to plan on taking pictures. Thats the only thing you’re leaving with and maybe a random stick they found on the way in or out.

my dad always knew we probably wouldn't ever get a deer when we went together but he still always made the time to take me and now as a 20 yr old young man I appreciate how much effort he put in and "wasted time" to get me to love hunting and hell some of my best memories are sitting in the blind seeing nothing all day 😂

Pro Tip, let the kid take honey nut cherries and spread them out. The deer love them, then they are more quiet because they want to see them eat the cheerios

My husband took our 3 yr old this past weekend, they got one within 15mins 🤣 I told him he has now successfully set him up for a lifetime of hunting disappointment that you don’t usually kill one that quick if at all 🤣

I don’t have kids but listening to this is infuriating and I don’t even really hunt like that I want to but thinking about it with kids makes my blood boil I have hunted so I’m halfway aware but I might just push a kid out a tree stand
