@mattrieck: Video 566 An employer that leaves a company for more money can return for a great culture, but an employee that left for bad culture will never return for more money. Companies can make a lot of money in a quarter or a year, but if their top performers consistently leave due to a bad culture, they will never remain profitable for long. #companyculture #leadership #mattrieck #management #employeeretention

My company used to have great culture but it’s been hijacked by poor gossiping spreading toxicity by the very leaders brought in to grow it

The companies look at staff as numbers at least they make the profit in the end of the year they don't care how many people they have to hire more people that quit. at least heads up still have their jobs

I finally left my almost 9 years with the company. stayed in hope that some raises/changes would happen after covid. nope! that just brought in more stress into the the full time employees. bc the turnover/ horrible ran by the higher up management like HR,GM. I started to see the culture turn to being ran as if we are all supposed to be robots. over working all the employees instead of hiring full time staff. they would rather have 5 full time that is in-store management. and the rest part time. half the times the part times would call out. so that makes the full timers to pull the weight which that brings the burn out employees. 🙄🥵 no appreciation. I stayed with that company even though I wasn't getting a raise. I stopped when the culture started to change to treat employees like we are robots.

Crazy to be employed and paying $2.7 million for business overhead over 30 years time, just bought 11 houses to purchase 1 for the family, business is looking for employees that won't miss $7,200 per month from the labor wealth, renting a workspace is what employees don't see, they just see one-sided of the time clock, a payroll check after paying business debt from there labor

I totally agree. But salary is not anything I can control as a manager. I work in higher education and I could also leave to make more money, but I can’t just say my direct reports should more money. Do managers in other industries have that power?
