Your daughter is quickly learning that she cannot trust you to protect her. The fact that you think only sweet, harmless men go to church tells me how delusional and brainwashed you are as a mother. It’s difficult for that poor girl to advocate for herself, yet she can’t depend on you. That man (and other men) learned in that moment that you hesitate to protect your daughter.
