💔I don’t go to reader events anymore. I go to author conferences and writing retreats but I had a terrible experience years ago at a signing that basically scarred me for life. People can be so cruel and entitled that it’s not worth my peace or my time and money. Do people realize a lot of authors lose money going to these? Sure it’s profitable sometimes but a lot of times it’s just about meeting readers.

I go to individual signings, but not the big events. too much entitlement, too much bad behavior. please know the whole community isn't like this. and I hope you find new ways to reach readers.
