The game itself literally is meant to discuss different types of discrimination. it's very possible the devs wanted to point out how Georgians are treated, hence why what happened to him happened.

i really love this game, honestly, as a russian this is the first russian game that makes me feel really proud for my country's developers tho i don't support russia's actions and no longer live here, i think the game depicted perfectly the 90-00s time after the soviet union's fall - people with guns everywhere, lawlessness, hunger, panic and an atmosphere of impending horror, especially that thing with guests - in 90s at post-soviet countries (mostly in russia but not only) the "guests" could've mean bandits, to whom you owe something (usually money), I don't think the developers meant this, but it's still really interesting detail, can't wait for a sequel so we'll learn more about franchise

Не знаю, отсылались ли разработчики на историю, но если что, они не ксенофобы. Они просто добавили персонажа, столкнувшегося с ксенофобией. И они прописали его как хорошего доброго парня, с которым жестоко несправедливо поступили. Люблю его, вот бы его было больше в игре😔😔

just like a lot of americans make art that criticizes america, there's russians who do the same and I think this game is one of those things it's very anti-goverment, specifically anti-controlling government that touches on poverty and ablelism, and now this too? it seems very intentional
