@c4news: The Metropolitan Police have disrupted a phone smuggling network which they think could have been exporting up to 40% of all the phones stolen in London. The gang is thought to have smuggled up to 40,000 stolen phones to China in the last year. Officers say smugglers pay street thieves up to £300 per handset for phones that they then sell overseas. 46 people were arrested in a two-week operation. #MetPolice #PhoneSmuggling #London #Channel4News
