1. Nothing began to exist, particles just rearranged. 2. The universe *as we know it* began to exist at the Big Bang expansion. It didn't come from nothing as theists claim. 3. Even if we grant the universe had a cause, that doesn't mean the cause was a God, let alone your particular God.

Two things, scientist do believe the big bang had a cause, nobody is saying it didn't have a cause. You believe it was God and that's enough for you but eventually scientist will figure out the cause of the big bang and God will be the cause of THAT thing. An always receding concept to existing what we can't explain yet. Second, matter can be created from energy, it's literally present in the equation e=mc^2
