We all know Kyrie has amazing handles, but what really separates him from other scorers is his mindset, and how he is able to not be predictable with his moves. None of his moves are predetermined; they are all free-flowing and based solely on how the defense is guarding him in that exact moment. I remember plays like this one during his Cavs days, when he had the ball in transition being full-court guarded by the defender and does a heavy step with his left foot by slightly raising that leg and slowly pausing on his right foot to throw off the defender’s timing. He then stays low to the ground and does a tight left-to-right behind-the-back into a spin move as soon as the ball touches his right hand. Once Kyrie finishes that move, he goes between the legs and accelerates to the middle of the floor while having his chest down, staying lower than the defender.
