Sarah Taber made a youtube video about this - essentially the large farms are using the plight of small farmers to get a bailout, even though small farmers aren’t actually impacted as much as the large farms are. Most farmers are rich because they’re landowners

100%. the American government is actively bankrupting farmers for the sole purpose of allowing billionaires to buy up all of the farmland at which point they will have a total Monopoly on the food chain for americans. that's when they will be able to hold Americans hostage so to speak and charge them virtually whatever they want but for their food. they will also be able to control big grocers.

They're asking for bailouts because they always get them. Most farmers have been getting government handouts for decades.
