He was best known for his roles as “ Marcus Dixon “ on “ getting by “ and “ Romeo Santana “ On The “ Steve Harvey show “ ( 1996-2002 ) , he is also known for his character “ Ohagi “ in hit tv sitcom “ Moesha “ he played a boyfriend of Moesha and appeared briefly in a few episodes . . On November 9th 2002 Santana was shot dead in Los Angeles by a 19 year old Damien Andre Gates , the hit was ordered by Monique King who was gf of Andre gates she falsely accused Merlin of making $exual advances at her and had him set up . . .
