@zeezee25: getting an autism diagnosis as an adult is hard 😅 but… it brought me so much understanding and forgiveness for myself 💛 when the NHS couldn’t see me & the services closed in my area, i eventually went privately (i used @RTN Diagnostics) and got my diagnosis at age 18 *i did some full videos on yt about my diagnosis if you want to know more :) so much of my childhood was misunderstood when it comes to friends & socialising but now i have a better understanding of the way my brain works, i can look back and re-assess things that happened and often, i now see that it wasn’t my fault or a “problem”, but simply a difference ❤️ working differently isn’t always a bad thing!! despite causing so many struggles & being hard to navigate in a neurotypical-designed world… it can actually result in incredible creativity, cleverness, enjoyment & personality!!! no matter the output we have (jobs, grades, social appearance), we are ALL valid human beings who deserve to be respected and have an equal chance at succeeding 🫶🏻 **there are a few chapters dedicated to this acceptance period & my book, and the full recording for this talk is on my YT! 💛 #disability #neurodivergent #autismawareness #autisticadult #autism
