Will it ride on different terrains? Or does it have to be smooth surface only?

I bought two, and both quit working after a little over a week. My 3 year old weighs nothing, so it’s definitely not a weight issue. The wires get wrapped around and break, even though I tucked them in properly as instructed. Unfortunately, this seems to be a defective design.

I weigh 96 pounds so I’ll definitely fit that thing (only if an adult rides on one) because I’m an adult.
