For those who are curious.....John, Jr's dad was called "Country" Johnny Mathis and had a duet called Jimmy and Johnny and was a member of the Lousiana Hayride in the mid to late 1950s. he had to add Country to his name because the very popular pop singer of the same name to avoid problems
