@thehomesteadingrd: 🍎Here’s 5 EASY ways to preserve apples to enjoy all year long: 1) Dehydrated slices - A great healthy snack, but also delicious in my Ground Venison Jerky! (my recipe is on my website✨) 2) Canned applesauce - We go through about 24 pint jars a year, so this is a big one for us! I use the basic recipe from the Ball Canning book. 3) Freeze dried slices - perfect for snacking, or rehydrate them to bake an apple crisp! 4) Brew hard apple cider - This has become such a fun tradition to do with my mom ☺️. Delicious, too! 5) Ferment the skins and peels into apple scrap vinegar - nothing goes to waste around here! I posted a reel a few days ago on how to make this 🙌🏼 Don’t have time for any of that? No worries! You can bag up the unblemished ones in a plastic bag and store them in the fridge for at least 6 months. We pack away ~30 lbs of apples this way. What other methods am I missing?
