I used the gym to shower and shave for 6 months but i did eventually find a job and get off the streets. It’s a nightmare but it’s possible

I volunteer with a shelter sometimes and most of their residents had no ID. Try getting a job with no ID. Next comment is get ID then. You don’t have money to get ID. It’s a vicious cycle thar is due to that weight. You are a good educator. Keep at it.

not to mention PTSD, in my trainings I've been told any person experiencing homelessness over 1 yr develops PTSD from the hardship of the experience.

I was homeless for 3 years. I was on drugs too. but I got clean got a job. now I have my own home a nice car it's what you put your mind to. it can be done. with no support system

I was homeless on and off for 20 years starting my teens. I understand the struggle and how hard it was to get out of and if it wasn’t for friends and family… I’d probably still be homeless 🥺

I was homeless you wont stay there forever but you hit the nail on the head. people really think churches and salvation army help so much. its humiliating going to a church of God.. and having them turn you away.. I still found God though 🙏

With the cost of rent nowadays there will be a lot more homeless people soon. Life has become so unfair with the low wages and high rent. Also you're right jobs are hard to come by.

my brother was homeless last year and he had his dog, he is now working and has his own apartment and his dog is still with him, if it wasn't for a retired nurse compassion and help he might still have been homeless 🙏🏻
