It's not right for someone in public to be able to see what's on an institutions screen, but that makes the institution at fault and they the ones doing wrong by the public, not the public

Sounds like the places that have your information need to figure out how to secure your information better! If they can record it a dude with a ✏️can jot down the same information.Actually the auditor is just exposing security risks and you should thank him!

the onus is on dmv to protect any 'private' information. and leo, we have all the same rights. nothing auditor is doing is illegal. and there is no right to private conversation in public. inside dmv is public. go inside a closed office with no windows for privacy
