its because they want to use it to control others, especially punish people instead of using it as a tool of God's love and mercy. They also want to use it to create a hierarchical system in which white men are at the top which is super weird since Jesus himself and most of the people in the Bible weren't white

I'm European, and I find it odd that the US that is so very loud on Christianity doesn't have the policies we have in our secular countries, like universal health care, free education, strong citizen and worker's rights, long paid maternity and paternity leaves, no guns culture, free school lunches, regulations to guarantee chemical-free food, etc. Sorry to say this but is almost like you cling to religion and dream of a rapture bc you live in a bad society.
