Loss is hard. I’ve been there. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34 : 18 God gives us MORE than we can handle because He wants us to HAVE to lean on HIM. He wants us to cast our burdens on Him, because He cares for us. 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 speaks of the Apostle Paul and his companions, “For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, ““But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. ”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”” God does allow more than WE can handle, it is common. He wants us to depend on Him. To cast our cares on Him because He cares for us. (Psalm 55:22, I Peter 5:7) HOWEVER, we need to remember that God will never give us more than HE can handle. As long as we keep our faith in Him and rely on Him, we have nothing to worry about. His is faithful! In John 16:33, Jesus said, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29 : 11 “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” When you delight yourself in the Lord, your desires are Godly, so He is more than happy to watch you succeed in your plans. Psalm 37 : 4 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8 : 28 I love that you used this verse… most people forget the part that says “TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD” and “TO THEM THAT ARE CALLED”
