As someone who is gay, I relate to this scene so much. For some time my relationship with my mom was like this. She was fine with me being gay if I didn’t show it, or act on it. Over time things got better. She even helped paint my nails once. But this scene still hits. I love my parents but it’s hard to forget those moments. Like, I genuinely know my parents have grown so much. But I don’t know how to let these emotions go.
