I have a genuine question! Why do people eat tofu in this recipe? Not regular sauce made with milk. Even if you are not lactose intolerant. Is it because tofu is higher in protein so you can achieve your daily protein goal?

I don't eat pork but do something similar!! I add peanut butter, msg, and miso to the sauce then add peas - served cold. Kinda like kong guksu. The peas are like savoury popping boba haha
