While milk cotton yarn might historically have been composed of milk casein and cotton, these days it’s used mostly as a marketing term to refer to a soft acrylic yarn (as opposed to the typical scratchy acrylic) or a cotton-acrylic blend. Many Chinese vendors use “combed milk cotton” to refer to cotton-acrylic blends to provide a distinction, but the ubiquity of the term “milk cotton” makes it difficult to remove the phrase entirely #yarn #yarntok #crochet
