In the 80s and early 90s I would go to a fishing camp with all WW2 vets every spring. The stories were amazing. There all gone now such good men I miss them dearly

My grandpa Robert Blackstone served in the navy during ww2 as an airplane mechanic, then as a baker on a minesweeper clearing harbors in Japan after the war. Back when he was alive he did some tv appearances too on a few local history shows. He passed away in May 2018.

My grandfather and great uncle both fought in WW2 pappy (gradfather) lived most his life with massive battle scars including half his jaw missing till 1986 when he got an implant. Not Once did he Ever complain or say it wasn’t worth it…. Real American

you need to time to go through it. it's amazing for sure. make sure to get a card and pick a person and scan it through the museum at places to see what and how your person ended the war.
