Portobello Road attracts visitors from all over the world, but for many tourists Korean street food is still unfamiliar. They may have heard of Korean fried chicken, but dishes like tteokbokki or Korean street toast are still new to most. So when 기와 opened, it was not easy to attract customers. But Kiwa didn’t want to change their menu to Korean fried chicken. They truly wanted to keep the authenticity of #pocha in London. And what makes 기와 stand out is that they have recreated the look and feel of a Korean 포장마차 in the middle of London. And the food itself is no different. The flavors taste just as they would in Korea, without any shortcuts or changes made for tourists.
