What's sad about this crash is that they would've made it but since the slats/flaps on the ripped engine side were damaged, when they were on approach and deployed flaps only one side deployed which caused asymmetrical flight control. Meaning, one side had more lift than the other, tilting it one side and veering towards the apartment building. RIP

I remember when this happened and watching coverage on the news. It was a cargo flight so only a small crew but crashed into an apartment complex.
