The best book I read was a great political thriller about a young journalist. Her character is fantastic. It’s called Horror Stories 2025

Adored this book and its portrayal of how indigenous communities could be completely miss portrayed by researchers. What did you think about it being a book about fascism? I didn’t really catch that on my first read

Have you read Seascraper? I read it before I read Whale Fall and they are similar vibes - I loved them both!

It was reminiscent of Canadian author Michael Crummey the Innocents.

If you like the imagery in this, you should try out “Snow Falling on Cedars” by David Guterson. It’s more of a mystery/thriller but I love the setting description
