@kencoleman: Immigrants make up 14% of the U.S population, but they own 1/5 of U.S. businesses according to the Small Business Administration. Second statistic from American Immigration Counsel.
If you take away the welfare and all benefits here in the U.S. the only ones left in the U.S. will be immigrants, 😂😂😂😂

U guys want the real answer… most immigrants r the richest ones from their country! They or their kids have the ability to take the risk because they were already educated or rich coming to the US

Why did he avoid the question? That’s what I would like to know. Seems to me the data does not support his hypothesis

I’m going to say something very controversial but it is true. No white person would ever work on a farm for 12 hours a day and get paid like 5 bucks a day. My grandparents had Mexican workers and paid them like a $1 a day in the 80s/90s

Everyone in America is an immigrant. So who are they referring to as immigrants in this discussion?

immigrants reach the american dream because we are hungry, because we have nothing to lose, because when we arrive we have nothing... I mean nothing.

that's because one of the incentives they have is not paying taxes for 8 yeas on a "business loan".

they left because there were no more jobs not because they were on welfare. That jump was wild.

There are so many reasons such as:
1.Most Immigrants have a developed family system.
2.Most of them are educated, have father and mother who check on them.
3.They live together in one house. If one person gets jobless other 4 are earning and they support him / her to get back on their feet and find another job, they don't left them helpless on streets.
4. Their spuses are mostly loyal and respectful. Their wives know tge value of homecooked meals, so tgey spend less on food.
5. They work harder than most of the born Americans. Its a fact you can find tons of videos on this topic.
List goes on and on and on.

The answer is perseverance and an understanding that we’re all human and equal under God. Immigrants have an ability to look past borders and beyond skin color that opens up opportunities to work together in many ways most Americans will never understand

The real problem is seeing someone with melanin and barely speaking English out do them on their “own” land. We get no handouts we work twice as hard and find a way.

This data needs to be further double clicked on, now also do the same exercise by each nationality.. and then you would know which immigrant group is a net contributor and which is a not. The other dude just said Eastern Europeans..

I remember that period very well in Ireland and what he's saying isn't fully true. 450k Eastern Europeans left because the jobs were lost within a period of 6 months. A lot of people didnt even get paid for work they did. They were super hard workers. Thousands of cars were left at Dublin airport with the keys left in the ignition. Also, Poland was now rapidly developing and jobs were growing and it made sense for a lot of them to move home. Many stayed in Ireland and have integrated. This wasn't about welfare benefits alone.

The real question is; What kind of immigrants own of 1/5 of the businesses? Also what kind of immigrants are part of the 44.8% in the Fortune 500? (legal or illegal)
