Hey European here. This diskussion about him calling it cider is just about different fonetics. The US does call this Apple Cider(may differ in different regions) and the alcoholic version is called Hard Cider. In the European Union(Council direktive 93/77 EEC-EUR-Lex) and brittisk isles this would legaly be called apple juice. In the European Union there isn't a clear definition of what Cider is. But traditionally it's an alcoholic drink made from fermented fruit/fruits.
