I don’t think wanting a house, food, and car are high expectations. Remember if capitalism worked every generation would have it better than the last. We live in the riches country in the world. No, I think we have accepted less and less and that needs to change.

But my grandpa worked a railroad job and their family only had 1 income. They had 2 houses 2 vehicles. I can barely afford my house and vehicle. A house back then cost about the same as his annual salary. Now it’s 5x our salary. In the last 4 years average house in the USA went from 200k to 420k.Our wage didn’t increase!
