i really am denji denji is one of the most misunderstood characters in all of anime, people sum him up as the gooner, the simp, the guy who only thinks about touching boobs me or having a girlfriend, but that only happens when you look at him from the surface, without understanding his context, fujimoto didn't create him to be the perfect brave hero who wants to save the world, he created him to break that mold, he made him purposely empty, with no education, with no learned moral values, because he never had anyone to teach him his whole life was pure misery, since he was a kid with a debt of 38 million yen left by his dead father, living in a dump, sleepina in a shed with pochita, selling an eye, a kidney, a testicle, hunting devils for crumbs, no friends, no school, no love, his only family was a little devil dog, so it makes sense that when he can finally want something, his dreams are things that for us are just NINK OT M normal, eating bread with jam, having a soft bed, having a girlfriend, feeling a body, because he was never even allowed to dream, it's not perversion, it's lack, it's a kid who for the first time can want to be human never and there is his true meaning, denji doesn't want to be chainsaw man, he doesn't want to be special, he doesn't want fame, he just wants to be loved, he just wants a hug with no conditions, but the world uses him over and over again, the yakuza use him, public safety uses him makima uses him making him believe that's love when it's just control, and every time he thinks he found something real, with aki and power, his little family, they take it away from him, that's why it hurts so much, because denjie represents what we all feel at some point, that fear of being loved only for what we can give and not for who we are, he represents wanting a normal life in a world that won't let you have it, and still trying even when they break you a thousand times get me out of my flop era #denji #chainsawman #personal #identificarse #shoujo
