When I used to backpack internationally in my 20s the only place multiple other female solo travelers told me to avoid was Egypt. One girl said she was in a restaurant with friends and went to the bathroom and a man cornered her and wouldn’t let her leave, trying to touch her. It was only when her friends realized she was taking too long that they found her and chased him off.

I hope she's mentally ok. She shared her story and I've been seeing it everywhere. It's crazy her co-workers didn't help her. She had to be rescued by a group of women.
