It got taken over by the cordyceps fungus, mould spores will often Land on insects or arachnids and often pierced through the outer layer of their shell, and then gradually work their way towards the brain of the insect or arachnid, and most often, if it is a spider, it will force the spider to go up to a high vantage point area and then stay there as the mold spore will then kill its host by forcing its way out of the outer layer to spread more of its spores to other arachnids, insects that are passing by.

Your funny little jester JEVIL :

Actually, they’re not standing still the fungi actually infect the spiders brain and controlled it. The spider is dead, but the fungi is alive and controlling the body. It’s like how there’s a fungi that affects ants and kills the ants.

𝓐𝓹𝓸𝓵𝓵𝓸 :

It not mold it fungus that kills them over time and takes over their body and it’s not old spider skin

🐣📚In the Woods📚🐣 :

Does that mean there is mold present in the area?
