@renduh: If you've already got a detergent buildup, using a washing machine cleaner (like Active, Affresh, Lemi Shine, Glisten, etc.) can help, but you may have to run several of them back to back to fully get rid of it all. As for a buildup in your laundry, once the machine is clean, you can run the affected laundry through on a normal cycle with no detergent, and using distilled white vinegar OR a fabric rinse in the rinse cycle. These products are acidic, while laundry detergent is basic, so they work well at removing detergent buildup! #Laundry #Laundry101 #LaundrySauce #LaundryDetergent #WomenInTrades

I keep telling this to my friend but she won’t listen. She uses a metric ton of detergent, fabric softener and those smell beads and she wonders why she’s replacing her washer every other year.

question. how come every washer i have had just stops draining? like eventually it'll stop draining/working altogether and its always the same thing. stopped on the drain cycle and a buzz/hum instead of a rotating sound.

I definitely believe you but I’m genuinely curious, why do those big tubs of detergent include the clear cups that have different levels on them? I use gain and the clear cup has like 4 different levels. What do they mean? If you don’t mind 😊

If this happens, just laundry strip the items. Hot hot water, baking soda, and laundry soda. Soak for at least 3 hours. Then rinse well. And of course, don’t use too much detergent again ☺️

Question. I have a top loader that doesn’t spin out all the way and doesn’t throw a code. What can I check first before calling a technician?

I use pods as a form of portion control, because my teens would fill the cap every time they did laundry (no matter how many times I told them not to). Are there precautions I need to take with pods?

Excellent advise. Perfect timing, I've had a crazy rash, clearly I'm using too much detergent. 💙🙏💙

Adding 2 teaspoons of citric acid to the final rinse helps soften the water and remove any remaining detergent to prevent buildup on clothes and in your machine
