When we were milking we trained our babies to drink out of a bucket. It’s faster and easier to clean up.

Ya gotta take the bottle from outside the pen,and squeeze it ,shoot some milk on calf’s nose then she’ll get up and come out to eat

the theory behind not feeding them a bottle while laying down is its easier for milk to end up getting into there lungs

Do u people realize some calves r too sick/weak to stand?? Maybe not in this case. But I drench or bottle feed to get it in their stomach as soon as possible. 100s of calves per year.
