October 11, 2026 Well, folks, if you thought the early NFL games were something, these late games gave us everything from a nail-biter in Seattle to an old-fashioned butt whooping in Arizona! Papaw Daddy Dan has three games to talk about, and somebody needs to explain to Seattle that you're supposed to keep the football, not give it away like Halloween candy! 😂 🏈 SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 32 – SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 29 Now THIS was a football game! Seattle came into this matchup looking to knock San Francisco off its undefeated perch, but apparently somebody forgot to tell the Seahawks that turnovers count against you! THREE turnovers in the first half alone! Good grief! San Francisco was getting the football handed to them like they had ordered takeout! Sam Darnold and that Seattle offense made some costly mistakes, including fumbles that gave the 49ers easy scoring opportunities. And Brock Purdy? That young man kept battling! Purdy wasn't perfect, but he made plays when San Francisco needed them. He connected with Mike Evans for an early touchdown and later found Brandin Cooks for a huge fourth-quarter score. Speaking of Mike Evans, somebody better check that man's birth certificate because he was playing like Father Time forgot where he lived! Seven catches, 119 yards, and a touchdown! Evans was out there reminding everybody why he's been one of the NFL's most dangerous receivers for years! Seattle fought back, took the lead, and made this thing interesting right down to the wire. But San Francisco got the last laugh when Eddy Piñeiro delivered the winning field goal. 49ers win 32-29! Papaw's lesson of the day? You can't keep giving a good football team extra possessions and expect to walk away smiling! 🏈 DETROIT LIONS 45 – ARIZONA CARDINALS 21 GOOD LORD, SOMEBODY CALL ANIMAL CONTROL! 😂 Because those Detroit Lions got loose in Arizona and absolutely mauled the Cardinals! Detroit put 45 points on the scoreboard, and Arizona looked like it had spent more time studying the lunch menu than Detroit's offense! Jahmyr Gibbs was running like somebody told him there was free barbecue waiting in the end zone! 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns! Detroit's offense was clicking, the running game was rolling, and the Cardinals couldn't find an answer. Arizona managed 21 points, but let's face it, when the other team puts up 45, you're going to need more than a couple of good drives and a prayer! Detroit wasn't just trying to win. They were making a statement! 🏈 DENVER BRONCOS 23 – LOS ANGELES CHARGERS 17 Now this game was a different kind of entertainment. Denver didn't need 45 points. They just needed to survive! The Broncos went into Los Angeles and pulled out a six-point victory over a Chargers team that just cannot seem to get out of its own way. The Chargers dropped to 0-5, and at this point their fans might be checking whether the season came with a return policy! 😂 Denver did what winning teams have to do. They made enough plays, protected their lead, and walked out with the victory. It wasn't always pretty, but Papaw Daddy Dan has said it before: Nobody asks how pretty that win was when they're counting victories in December! 🔥 PAPAW DADDY DAN'S FINAL THOUGHTS! San Francisco showed championship-level toughness. Detroit showed everybody it has an offense capable of embarrassing a defense. And Denver showed that sometimes surviving is all that matters!
