@drdwight_md: Thinking about hyaluronic acid (“gel”) injections for knee arthritis? Dr. Lin explains how they work: lubricating the joint a little and diluting inflammatory proteins that damage cartilage. Relief usually lasts a few months, and it’s reasonable to try—just make sure your doctor uses image guidance and never mixes gel with cortisone, PRP, or stem cells. #KneeArthritisRelief #GelInjections #HyaluronicAcid #JointHealth #fyp
Just asked my doctor to do hyaluronic acid a day after PRP too soon

Annette Dubrouillet :
Had this injection once, and it worked well for about five months. Had it again in preparation for a big trip to Europe and it didn't work at all. Very disappointing. Guidance wasn't used either time.

Is there a better option? For someone with severe osteoarthritis who's trying to be more active?

Used this for years successfully. No image guiding for my doc. They do it so often for patients they mark it with a pen cap.

What is this “gel” stuff that is being recommended now in ortho? I guess it’s pretty expensive and take an authorization from the insurance company. And… does it work well?

The hylauronic acid injections do not seem to be working for me. If I’m considering stem cell therapy, do I need to wait a certain number of weeks/months after the last HA injection?

I've had well over 75+ injections and additional dozen of steroids. they added steroids directly after the 3rd round of euflexa. I've needed replacements for over a decade and kept being kicked down the road till now I'm unable to walk
