@janklabs: I have backyard chickens. And everyone in my restaurant job knows this and I give them free eggs all the time. And any return the line cooks save me all of the kitchen scraps and I give them to my chickens every day. The chickens love this and almost every day. I have a treat for them and so they run up to the fence of the coopand excitedly wait for me to bring them their treat. I give my coworkers a lot of eggs and so they like to help me out by giving me some treats for the chickens.

but put some DE for the chickens to bathe in. I know they are just molting because it's that time of year but it helps with mites that attack feathers and also internal parasites.
