Adding a loop at the front would make it so you didn’t have to pull on the mixer-mine is in a corner and I sometimes have a hard time getting my hand to the back. Or gripping the sides.

I will probably make a few of these for Christmas, but a little hack that I learned most seam gauges Have a small hole at one end that is approximately an 1/8” from the end. So whatever measurement you want to do add an 1/8 then put your marking implement in the hole follow the original line with the gauge measure and you won’t have to make a bunch of markings and then connect them.
