Same! I couldn’t understand why haitians were hated, I went to the library and looked us up. I was soo upset when I read who we were. After that you couldn’t tell me nothing. I would fight any and everyone who dared to make me feel ashamed of my ancestry. Look at all of them now; all of their countries are going through it but they don’t have our backbone

Yeah, it’s not for the week. I was repping Haiti in Jersey in the 80s. Not for the weak! I even told off the Haitian kids who used to say they were French and Canadian before it became cool to be Haitian (thanks to the Fugees)
