They do feel emotions but Gerry uses the "no emotions" line as a coping mechanism. Shunned by society, treated like trash, it's easier to play the part and be your trueself with your friends and loved ones. Like Geralt is with Dandelion, Zoltan, Ciri, Triss, Yen..
