you didn't do a kalk test???, meaning you put kalk powder on the rubber seal, close the door, open again and check that the kalk imprint is on the steel sealing surface for the rubber. this will prove that multiple sealing edges are imprinted correctly so the sealing is 100%

By taking bottom plug off, letting the compartment fill to the brim and see, if water comes through. No water: test completed. Water: lower the life boat and abandon ship.

wouldn't water on one side of the door be under significant pressure? The ultrasound doesn't add pressure
