My dad was the manager of the Radio Shack from 1999-2003 when it was right next to JC Penny’s inside the mall. That’s how I ended up moving to Palatka in 2001. Been in Palatka ever since. And the stores in the mall itself have been there at least 4-5+ years now.

So sad to see all these malls dying. So much fun in the 70s-90s -the last public square. Palatka won't die tho. It will get caught up in the Clay Co development

let me know when my town is actually in decline population wise. now we get a surplus of California and Colorado ppl coming to live here. the over crowded schools since they closed the few will show you there's still a lot of ppl. along with there's nothing to do but make babies, but what do I know being here since 1996

lemme tell you something about that mall! they may only have 10 or so stores total, but probably the biggest thing that has ever happened to this little po'dunk town to date! as far as a recreation or whatever. I can still smell those red pistachios at the snack shack down by bells! lol

There is one in Crystal River it opened in 1990 it was really in a bad location on the other side of the city and it closed down after struggling from covid and it had been up and down for years and they tore in down in 2022 it even had a Kmart attached to it
