The Libs keep believing their own hype. They’re now so unattached from reality that they see these divisive marches and think more Australians think their way, that they’ve achieved a turnaround. But they might want to remember that those marches, though they looked big, carried a total in the tens of thousands across all cities and all marches. That’s a tiny fraction of the voting public and those already voted for right wing parties anyway. They’ve actually lost ground but don’t believe it!🤦♂️😂

A strong fundamentalist Christian (or other) belief that the world has only been here a few thousand years, always inhabited by humans created as specially loved by the creator in a climate ideally created for them to thrive and filled with plants and animals and resources that only exist to be used by humans absolutely impacts one’s position on climate change, resource management and environmental impact. How can it not if you believe we are not part of the ecosystem but that we are instead entitled to use everything up in the surety that it will always be renewed/sufficient for our needs?

Even if they don't believe in climate change and net zero, we need to replace all coal power within 15 years before they switch off. We have to build stuff now and fast! Even if nuclear was selected, it will not fill the massive demand gap in that time. so the system will go to renewables regardless. Net zero or not
