I LOVE your content so far! I'll push back a little in regard to Americans. Though you're correct, this has historically been the mentality, theres a bit of nuance. Today, most 'everyday Americans' are not CHOOSING not to save, its simply a luxury they can't afford. Economic ideology such as, "Trickle-Down" economics and massive privitization has led to wealth gaps that leaves MOST Americans UNABLE to save, even if they wanted to. The AVG. american lives check-to-check and does not earn enough to fund basic needs/bills. A simple broken arm, home repair, car breakdown, or other "unexpected situation" we all experience, will easily leave the "Avg" American crushed, even homeless. Our failed economic practices have left "the richest country in the world" with our children starving, Healthcare that rivals undeveloped nations and our newest generations without the ability to buy homes, cars or a career they can build their life on. Saving is now a distant pipe dream, out of reach for most.😭
